Obituary for Rudy Smith
Rudy closed his eyes for the last time on May 3, 2018 at the age of 11 years old. He passed with his pet
parents present to comfort him and bid him goodbye.
Rudy was our “little boy” and he will be missed immeasurably. While not as healthy and robust as
others that have shared our home, his love and companionship were unequaled. The loss of how he
loved to be petted and his incessant purring will leave a hole in our lives that will take a long time to
heal.
Our house feels empty without the yowl of him playing with his stuffed baby, his scratching at the
garage door to get in each morning and him trying to lead us to his food bowl to “rub his head” while he
ate. He filled our house and hearts with so much love. While he may have only been here for part of our
lives, we loved him his whole life.
Our lives go on and our grief will eventually fade but the memory of Rudy’s love, affection and purring
will live on in our hearts forever.
Goodbye, Rudy. We love you.
