Obituary for Husker Fister
Herbie the Husker Fister received his angel wings on Jan 12, 2017. Husker was a fan of napping, snuggling, eating food, going on car rides, visiting his Nannie’s house and Nebraska football. While Husker was with us he had more love than he could ever have possibly imagined…but he gave us just as much. He was more than just our pup. He was our son and our friend and a constant in our home for over 10 years. To some Husker was “just a dog” but to us he was our baby. We hated to say goodbye after what felt like such a short life, but we know that for the first time in a long time he is running and jumping and playing like the puppy he thought he still was. The hole he is leaving in our family is something that will not close and he will never be replaced. While we miss him immensely we know that he was greeted by our son and daughter and countless others that left before him. Mommy and daddy love you so much, dude. You’re part of our hearts…always.
