In Loving Memory of Wizard Smith

June 18, 1996 - February 3, 2011

Wizard was my most beloved son, protector, best-friend, husband, soul-mate, travel companion, date, bodyguard and therapist for almost 15 years. Through boyfriends and friends, many states and schools, joy and tragedy, Wizard was the anchor that held me to my center. One look into his magical eyes and one could be transformed and have a new perspective on life. The same eyes held potential danger at bay, and there is little doubt that Wizard risked his life on more than one occasion for love. When that light and magic seemed laden with pain, I hope I did right by him. He was loved and will be missed by so very many people who fell for his gentle giant nature and his own specific depth of soul. It will be only when I finally see him again that I will know I am in Heaven. I fear I will miss him more than my heart can bear.

I love you Wiz-Bang. Wait for Momma.

Lindsey Smith

I am devastated for you Lindz. He was the most loving Mandog I have ever known. He saw you through the most poignant times of your life. I dreaded this day for you, and carry your sadness and loss with me. Anyone who knew him, knew what and incredible gift he was to this earth, he was more than a dog.

I cherish the early mornings that you were zonked in bed and he and I would lay on the hardwood floors and stare at eachother, having silent conversation.

His presence alone, made everything ok, each and every time we were all around him.

It will take a while to get through this, so let us all love on you lots during this time.
